Features & Benefits

Spikenard is an amazing therapeutic essential oil with many properties. It has a deep, root like, valerian scent. The plant grows at high altitudes in the Himalayas and produces a dense cluster of red and white berries. The roots have a powerful aromatic scent and are steam distilled to produce the essential oil. Spikenard has been used for over 2,000 years as an incense to deepen spiritual practices, promote contemplation and repel bugs.

Wild Spikenard has been over exploited in Nepal; only cultivated Spikenard is available for export. Veriditas by Pranarom sells only organic and sustainably cultivated Spikenard in alignment with our commitment to ecological sustainability and ethical sourcing.
