Features & Benefits

Cinnamon Bark essential oil has a warm, spicy sweet scent. Historically, Cinnamon Bark was used as purifying incense in religious worship throughout Africa, Asia and Europe and was one of the earliest transcontinental exports. Cinnamon was also used in teas, herbal oils, compresses and baths for a wide variety of traditional herbal remedies, many of which are still used today. Cinnamon Bark should always be diluted in a carrier oil and is not recommended if you are pregnant or for children under 5 years unless it is lightly diffused.

 


HOW TO USE

Common Uses: Cinnamon Bark can be found in cleaning products, air fresheners, reed diffusers, potpourri, food flavoring, cologne, and perfume. Cinnamon Bark essential oil is beautiful lightly diffused with clove and sweet orange for the perfect winter scent to purifying the air. When diffusing, only use in very small amounts.

Blending Reccomendations: Basil Linalol, Bay Laurel, Bergamot, Black Pepper, Black Spruce, Cardamom, Cedar Atlas, Cinnamon Leaf, Cistus, Clove, Coffee, Coriander, Eucalyptus Globulus, Eucalyptus Radiata, Fir Balsam, Silver Fir, Frankincense, Ginger, Hyssop Decumbens, Lemon, Lemongrass, May Chang, Myrrh, Nutmeg, Sweet Orange, Oregano, Patchouli, Peppermint, Petitegrain, Wild Scotch Pine, Sage, Sandalwood, Spikenard, St. John's Wort, Tea Tree, Thyme, Tulsi, Vanilla, Vetiver, Wintergreen.

NOTE: Cinnamon Bark and Cinnamon Leaf essential oils are two distinct notes and are not interchangeable.

Storage: Store with the cap firmly closed, standing upright, out of direct heat and sunlight. Always use a glass bottle, as Cinnamon Bark essential oil slowly dissolves plastics.
