The Scotch pine provides an essential oil long familiar to our grandparents, who in earlier days already enjoyed its healing action on the bronchi through the inhalation of this essential oil in Nordic climates. It thrives in the mountains and sandy or gravelly soil. Scots pine has purplish grey bark, acicular, robust leaves, yellow male and red female flowers, and a green ovoid cone that turns brown when mature.

HOW TO USE

Common Uses: Diffuse or inhale Scotch Pine to support clear sinuses and lungs, healthy stress response, and energy levels. It can also be added to massage oils and muscle salves to promote healthy muscles and joints.

Blending Recommendations: Scotch Pine has the fresh woody scent of a pine forest. It is a middle note in blending and mixes well with many other woody, citrus and mint scents.

Safety Information: Do not use in the first 3 months of pregnancy. Not recommended for children under 6 years old. Scotch Pine essential oil is irritating when oxidized or old.

Maximum Adult Dilution: 10%; 60 drops per ounce of carrier.
